They say we choose our pets, but the truth is, you chose us. You stole my daughter’s heart, my husband’s, and the hearts of our entire family. You had a special way of making sure each of us felt loved, dedicated to spending quality time with every person, every single day.
I’ll miss those early morning snuggles the moment Dad got out of bed and you claimed his spot. I’ll miss you waiting at the door to greet us, rolling onto your back to demand belly rubs. I’ll miss your loud, happy meow the second a can was opened—whether it was for you or for us—and the constant purr that followed. From sniffing my hair after a shower to 'watching over' me during a relaxing bath, you were always there.
Even though you left us on your brother Mittens' 5th birthday, we will forever honor your memory while we celebrate him. I am so grateful you picked us. Not a day goes by that we don’t miss you. We’ll see you again on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge, my friend, when it’s our time.
