Grimm

2010 - 2026

Our beloved boy, Grimm. I met you as a teenager while volunteering at the animal shelter. I had never owned a cat before, but you were so perfect we had to take you home.
I leaned on you through so many life stages. You were always there when I felt so alone. You would sit with me on the floor while I cried, you'd keep my mother company for hours, you'd sit on my father's armrest and be a comfort for him through his struggle with Alzheimer's. You'd spend time every day with my boyfriend who was feeling homesick. We will all miss seeing who you'd choose to sleep with for the night. We will miss your sweet presence in our lives.
You were so strong in your fight with kidney disease, such a good boy even while we had to give you fluids. I hope you know how loved you were. You don't even know my boyfriend and I grabbed a last minute flight and sprinted through the airport to get to you in your last hours. I'm so glad we got one last sleepover and I could be holding your little paw the moment you passed.
You went from a stray to the most loved boy in the world. There are no words to describe the amount of love we have for you or how much we will miss you.
