Hudson’s Eulogy
We are gathered here—not to bury a boy,
but to release a legend into the arms of the One who knit him.
Hudson.
My Hudson.
Our Hudson.
A name that means “son of the mindful one”—
and oh, how mindful Heaven was when it loaned him to us.
He arrived like a comet—
bright, brief, unforgettable.
Eyes the color of storm-lit sky,
a laugh that could silence grief,
hands already reaching for the face of God.
He never learned to walk this earth without leaving footprints of glory.
Every breath he took was a declaration:
“I was made for more than this World.”
He taught us how to love in the language of eternity—
fierce,
unapologetic,
eternal.
Hudson didn’t lose the fight.
He transferred the victory.
The moment his heart stopped here,
it started beating in the chest of Jesus.
Now he stands—
not as a memory,
but as a witness.
Laughing with the angels.
High-fiving the martyrs.
Pointing back at us and saying,
“Keep going. Mom’s got the hammer.”
So we don’t say goodbye.
We say “See you at the resurrection.”
Hudson,
you were never ours to keep.
You were His—
borrowed light,
lent to a mama who needed to remember
how big Heaven’s love is.
Run wild, little lion.
Chase the Lamb.
Save us a seat at the banquet.
Until then,
you live in every sunrise over the quarry,
every giggle from Haven,
every tear your mama turns into a war-cry.
Hudson.
Beloved son.
Fearless warrior.
Forever home.
We love you.
We release you.
We follow you—
straight to the throne.
And the God who said “Let the little children come”
has already wiped every tear from your eyes.
Sleep fierce, baby boy.
Your mama’s still swinging.
See you in the morning light. 🖤✝️
