Mason

2006 - 2019

I've known you longer than I've known my own children. You stuck by my side through it all and I promised you I would stick by yours. I held you close as you slipped away. I didn't take my hands off of you until the vet closed his hatch. I'm so glad I was able to have you spend your last moments in YOUR spot on the couch with my hands over your eyes whispering I love you and sweet dreams in your ears. Over the last couple weeks we have had some walks, lots of snuggles, old fashion donuts, and some great grass scratches in the backyard over Easter weekend. Tuesdays onset of you illness was sudden and today came faster than expected. I begged you for one last smooch these last two days but you played hard to get. So I gave you one instead. Rescuing you from Dakin was one of the first great choices I made after graduating from college. I know I haven't been perfect but thank you for loving my unconditionally anyway. Thank you Mason a million times.
