Forever in our Hearts.

I went the animal rescue league at the age of 21 to find an older cat. My friend, Lisa went with me. As I was reviewing the cats, I stopped at Star's cage. When I put my finger into the cage, he began to rub his face on me and purr the loudest purr I have ever heard. When I turned to leave to look at another cat, he went up on his hind legs, put both front paws out the cage to reach for me and cried.

My friend Lisa turned to me and said "I think he picks you." He has been picking me for the last 17 of his 18 years. When Mark and I met and became serious six years ago, the three of us became a family.

Star will be greatly missed and will forever be in our hearts.
