Tigerlilly “Tiger” Gardner

2010 - 2026

Tigerlilly “Tiger” Gardner, lovingly known simply as Tiger, passed away peacefully at the age of 16 with her devoted dad by her side. While the ache left in our hearts is immeasurable, we are forever grateful for the many beautiful years we were blessed to share with our precious girl. Tiger was more than a pet — she was family, our constant companion, our source of comfort and laughter, and the undeniable queen of our home and hearts.
Tiger is survived by her loving parents, JJ and Dawn Gardner; her adopted sisters, Mistletoe, Tinsel, Holly, Merry, Snowbelle, and Coco; her adopted brothers, Griswold, Santa, Scrooge, Elf 2nd, Maxx, and Jinglebell 2nd; her beloved niece, Rudolfa; and her nephews, Christmas and Grinch. She was preceded in death by her older adopted sister, Elf, and her younger adopted brother, Jinglebelle, whom we know welcomed her with love on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.
Tiger’s story began with rescue at just 2 years old, but from the moment she entered the family, she made it clear she was exactly where she belonged. It did not take long for her to establish herself as ruler of the household. She carried herself with confidence, sass, and charm, and everyone around her quickly learned that life revolved around Tiger — exactly the way she wanted it.
She had a personality larger than life and never hesitated to demand the love and attention she believed she deserved. If Tiger wanted to be held, cuddled, or adored, she would let everyone know with persistent meows, gentle paw taps, and those unforgettable eyes that were impossible to ignore. She always found a way to make sure all attention returned to its rightful place: on her. And truthfully, no one ever minded.
Tiger’s love for her family was undeniable. She adored her adopted siblings, niece, and nephews, and her presence filled the home with warmth, comfort, and joy every single day. She had a special way of showing affection through soft headbutts, loud purrs, and curling up close to the people she loved most. In both quiet moments and playful ones, Tiger made her family feel loved beyond words.
Anyone who knew Tiger also knew about her famous love for catnip. She would enthusiastically dig through the toy box until she found her favorite catnip ball or treasured toy, proudly carrying it around before settling in for playtime. Her playful spirit never faded, even as she grew older. She also had an undeniable love for Temptations treats, and she made sure no one ever forgot treat time. If a snack was even a minute late, Tiger would loudly and confidently remind the household exactly whose schedule mattered most.
For sixteen wonderful years, Tiger brought endless love, laughter, companionship, and unforgettable memories to those lucky enough to know her. She was stubborn, affectionate, playful, demanding, comforting, and deeply loved — the perfect combination that made her so incredibly special. Her royal presence could never be replaced, and the imprint she leaves on our hearts will remain forever.
Though our home feels quieter now, Tiger’s spirit will always live on in every cherished memory, every laugh shared about her antics, and every moment of love she gave so freely throughout her life.
Tiger will be greatly missed and forever cherished. Her love, sass, strength, and beautiful spirit will never be forgotten.
We love you always, our Queen.
Rest peacefully, sweet Tiger.
