Phantom Dozer Burton

2008 - 2020

Phantom Dozer Burton, born on January 6, 2008, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2020, surrounded by his family.

Phantom was a devoted and loyal trucking dog for the duration of his life, stopping at nothing to protect his mom, his dad, his truck, and the load that was on the truck. Phantom protected everything from pharmaceuticals to military weaponry. In 12 years, Phantom had rode along when his mom and dad drove over 1.5 million miles. He was always proud of a job well done, and expected payment in cookies.

Phantom loved many things in life. Most of all, he loved his mom, his dad, and his human sister. Other things that he enjoyed were car rides, munchkins from Dunkin, birds(airplanes), chasing squirrels, and playing with his squeaky toys.

There wasn't a place that Phantom hadn't been, seeing all of the contiguous 48 states, and there wasn't a freight lane that he hadn't run. Phantom had seen everything from the saguaro cacti, to the Rocky Mountains, and everything in between.

Phantoms favorite place to be after a hard days work, was under the blanket with his mommy and daddy. Yet, when he knew he was going home to see his human sister, he knew that he was in for lots of belly rubs, play time, and so much fun!

Phantom was more than a dog. He was a guardian, a best friend, a son, and so much more. He has left a hole in the hearts of many people, that he has met along the way. A hole that will never be healed.

Rest in peace, Mr. Pup-Pup Face, Pumpkin head, momma's good boy. We will never forget the silliness, the laughter, the joy, loyalty, devotion, and the security that you gave us.

You were and always will be the best friend anyone could ever have. Fly high my love. Until we meet again.

Love, Mom Dad and Sissy
