My Angel My Bestfriend

Seven years ago you came into my life,
I always wanted a Dobe never knowing I would get the best one around, I took you in and gave you my heart. You guarded me the first day. At that moment I knew you were my Angel. After all you have gone through you were as gentle as can be. Never will I forget you Please watch over me........Mama I love and miss you already.

Ava came to me 7 years ago. At a young age she was found on the side of the highway, skin and bones with a sign ducktaped around her neck that said "trouble". She was then taken into a home with multple dogs, a "dennis the mennis" kid and lived in a cage under a kitchen counter for 4 years. The only time she was socialized was to go outside for a 5 minute walk. A friend of mine did rescues and brought her to my job(an animal hosp.). My co-worker told me she was there and asked me to take a look at her. So I took her outside for a walk and could not believe how we clicked. I did this for about 3 days. She would not leave my side. I introduced her to my other dog and they became "bestfriends". She was such a gentle Doberman. Many people were afraid but somehow she found a way to show them it was ok. Whether it was by a nudge or bowing down. I used to take her to nursing homes, football games, and anywhere she can be social. No matter what I was going through in life all I had to do was wrap my arms around her and she would nudge me to let me know everything would be alright. I will never forget her. She is my angel and my heart.......she will be missed. God bless you Ava.
