Tribute to Chomper
Chomper, our sweetest love bug, you filled our lives with more joy and comfort than words can ever fully say. Life before you was incomplete, and everything changed the day we rescued you at just 12 weeks old. From that moment on, you weren’t “just a dog” – you were family, a true friend, and a steady, loving presence in our home.
You loved attention and gave it right back in your own special way. You lived for walks, getting so excited that we worked our way up to 3 miles each time, step by step, side by side. You adored treats, back scratches, and belly rubs, soaking up every bit of affection like the sweet, gentle soul you were.
Your larger‑than‑life, goofy personality made it almost impossible not to laugh around you. After long days at work, fighting traffic and feeling exhausted, walking through the door to see your head tilted to one side, ears flopped, tail wagging, and that silly smile on your face could erase an entire day’s stress in a heartbeat. You had a gift for making everything feel lighter, brighter, and more bearable just by being there.
You were so special that you were trained to become Daddy’s ESA and service animal, a role you carried with loyalty and heart. You didn’t just offer comfort; you offered safety, grounding, and unconditional love when it was needed most. Your calm presence and devoted companionship were blessings that will never be forgotten.
Your end came far too fast and so unexpectedly, and the absence of your loyal, loving soul is deeply, painfully felt in every corner of our lives. The house is quieter now, the walks are emptier, and there is a space on the floor and in our hearts that only you could fill. As you crossed the rainbow bridge, we hope you knew how deeply you were loved, how amazing we thought you were, and how forever changed our lives are because of you.
Thank you, Chomper, for every mile we walked, every cuddle, every goofy moment, and every bit of healing you brought us just by being yourself. Life will never be the same without you here, but your spirit, your love, and your memory will always live on in us. Run free now, sweet Chomper, and rest knowing you were – and always will be – so very loved.
