My Dearest Dexter

Dearest Dexter
How we all miss you so much, you were the shining light in all our lives, when John picked you out that day we brought you home.
Watching you grow from that tiny puppy with the big paws to an adult dog was a real pleasure in my life. The way you would like to play fetch then we would have to chase you to get the ball back still brings warmth to my heart. or the way you used to like to play red buggy, how you loved that laser pointer.
But now your gone and there is a huge emptiness in all our hears. You brought so much joy to us all. The way you would great your mother when she came home from work or came down stairs in the morning.
Or the way you would lick my face in the middle of the night to go out, how I miss you big buddy.
Watching them put you to sleep was the hardest thing I ever had to do in my life, I sat with you for a half hour after you were gone. I just couldn't bring myself to leave your side.
You were a great protector of our house. Always barking when someone came near, and how at the same time you were a gentle giant.
There will never be another dog to replace you. Dexter we love you and miss you dearly.
Rest in peace my friend. We know you are up there with your sister Sonya, and now in a better place.
Love always
Daddy, Mommy, John, Brandon and Saphira
Never Again

Lost in a dream, in a dream of you.
All that's left is a tear, that i cried for you.
When i held you in my my arms
You made me feel just like a child
Safe from all harm.
Once in love, now its gone, and i stand alone.
There's a place in my heart, you still have a home.
And i'm holding on to dream's
And the memories of you haunting my soul.
Never again will i wake and see you smile,
Never again will i hold you.
Never again no more planing for tomorrow.
Never again tells a story.
It seems so long, so long ago
When i held you near
I cant take all the pain , its so hard to bear.
Still i'm holding on to dreams
And the memories of you haunting my soul.
Never again will I wake and see you smile
Never again will i hold you.
Never again, no more planing for tomorrow.
Never again tells the story
Never again
Never again
Never again
Never again
