Elliot,

You were my best friend for 13 and a half great years. thank you for helping us raise two kids to 14 and 11. thank you for being my faithful running companion, my confidant, and for teaching us how to love unconditionally. Most of all thank you for being you.

when you left us, you were surrounded by people who loved you dearly. i selfishly asked you to do one more thing for us when you left, to let all of the goodness within you back into the world where it's needed. and you did - I still feel you here buddy.
