Gia, our sweet, baby girl. She will be forever in our hearts. We love you.

Gia

Gia was our beautiful little girl for 11 years. She was born on 8/7/1999. She passed unexpectedly on 1/10/2011. I was there with her when she passed.
Gia was like a human ever since she was a puppy. The first night, she hurdled her box and took off. From then on, she was always in bed with us. When she was a baby, I used to cuddle her in my arms and sing, Gia, Gia Gia. She loved this and when I sang "How much is that Puppy in the Window"? I would tell her stories all the time about the things she did as a puppy and I swear she knew what I was talking about as she would listen intently. She loved going for walks, chewing on bones and her most favorite toy was a furry colorful, disc that she loved to chase. Belly rubs were the best! She was a lovable little Shih Tzu. She would always lick my husbands head when he came home from work. She loved sticking her head in the snow and popping up with a snow filled face. Pink bows from the groomers were adorned on each ear, looking like little pig tails. She loved her naps on the weekend with mommy and daddy and slept on the bed between us every night. She always used to wait in the window for us to come home. Gia was pampered to the max and always had the best. She was a member of our family. My 2 other dogs, especially Boo-Boo, are going to miss her terribly. Boo-Boo adored her and they napped side by side on the couch.
It is a terrible loss and I am sick over it. I knew this day would come, but not this soon and without warning. I know she is in Heaven at peace. She is running, chasing balls and playing with all of God's creatures. We, as well as many others, loved her dearly. Our love is never ending for this sweet little Shih tzu named Gia.
