MY BEST FRIEND JUMANJI. 13.5 yrs old.

My best friend closed her eyes this morning,
As her head was in my hand.
The thoughts that scurried through my head,
As I cradled her in my arms.
Were of her younger, puppy years, even up to August 1 2009.
And OH...her many charms.

She will be missed on fishing trips, kayak trips etc.
She went on to her biggest journey of all.
Dear girl, perhaps that boat someday will be just as big for all of us once again.

There was one last gentle nudge
With an intense "I love you gaze," A gaze of saying your doing the right thing, and I thank you for that. I must go on for I have done my duty here.
Only a heart thats filled with tears
Remembering our joy filled days.

But an Angel just appeared to me,
And he said, "You should cry no more,
GOD also loves our canine friends,
HE's installed a 'doggy-door"!

Sorry my friends to have had to spread the news. Jumanji went quickly from August 1 to 22 of 2009. She never needed a Vet except normally things. She just looked at me and acted like she was saying she was tired and I did my duty. Time for me to move on. Vet says sounded like Brain or Liver failure.
