Kaylee Konisky, our loving dog

Our best friend closed her eyes last night,
As her head was in my hand.

The thoughts that scurried through my head,
As I cradled her in my arms.
Were of his younger, puppy years,
And OH...her many charms.

Today, there was no gentle nudge
With an intense "I love you gaze,"
Only a heart thats filled with tears
Remembering our joy filled days.

But an Angel just appeared to me,
And he said, "You should cry no more,
GOD also loves our canine friends,
HE's installed a 'doggy-door

Kaylee was our loving dog who was with us for 12 full loving years. She gave us unconditional love that always filled our hearts. She had a Daddy with who she was best friends with and mommy that loved her to pieces. Two little girls that would jump on her and she welcomed it. Her Noni and Papa watched her throughout the week to keep her from harms way. Kaylee helped us get engaged with holding the ring on her collar, she had her picture taken in our wedding album with us, she guarded our babies as they slept near our bed. She loved to swim, play ball, nose ball, and knew so many tricks especially her famous nose trick! She was famous for opening presents and loved to do so- her birthday parties and christmas were her favorite holidays! She played monster under the blanket and who can get the ball in the middle first. She had a love/hate relationship with BooBoo kitty, Kaylee always guarded and protected her even if at times BooBoo wasn't the nicest to her. She didn't like fireworks, guns or thunderstorms and we were always sure to comfort her during these times. She wasn't just a dog she was our third child who our hearts miss so much. Kaylee thank you for the memories and for bringing us so much happiness through these last 12 years. You will forever be in our hearts. May you now be at peace.
