Keiko, I know not where you came from or what your life was like before we met. What I do know is that you were the perfect best friend at the perfect time. You were playful, loving, affectionate, intelligent, and very, very vocal. You were so “velcro”-- the “president of my fan club,” as I would often quip-- and I loved every second of it.

I cherish that with me you had your best life: our epic tug of war games; nudging my hands from my laptop while I worked; our many walks and hikes; doggie play dates (I hope you and Freja are causing a wonderful ruckus); car rides; all the attention and affection you got all day every day…I could go on and on.

I miss you every day, and I always will. I love you so much, and I’m so happy we met. Rest peacefully, Lady Pug. You’re a wonderful dog, and I am so lucky that you’re part of my life.
