Logan

2005 - 2017

Logan was a dog like no other. He lived life to the fullest, and transmitted love and happiness to everyone around him. Logan's presence was met by a smile from everyone (well, nearly everyone, there were a few miserable people who did not smile (their loss)). He was as much a Rock Star as he was a legend. I don't believe that I will ever again know a dog like Logan. Logan enjoyed 12 wonderful years of life; he held his head high as he was given every conceivable medical treatment, to ensure his health and quality of life, and at the end, he said "it's time." Logan crossed the bridge in the hands of a Veterinarian who he loved, and who had taken wonderful care of him for many years, and in the company of a team of pet nurses who treated him like he was a member of their family. Nearly one year later, his death remains unnerving, so I try to shift gears, and remember all of the wonderful times that we cherished in Logan's company. Farewell my friend, I'll see you in heaven, and I'll bring your favorite toys and treats with me, and most importantly, I'll bring stories of the countless people who were shocked to learn of your death, and who reflected on their favorite times with you, and who said how much they loved you.
