Lovie

2009 - 2025

When we adopted Lovie in 2011, she was a cat mama and all of her kittens had been adopted, leaving her by herself at the shelter. As soon as we saw her, it was love at first sight. She was the sweetest little thing, so full of love that she was named "Lovie" before we ever even met her. The name was so perfect that we had to agree, and we never changed it. She brought us so much joy over the fourteen years we had her. An immeasurable amount of love and companionship. She knew our routines and was a part of our joys and comforted us during our sorrows. Since we both work from home, we were with her all of the time. When she was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism in 2019, we were told that she may not have months, let alone years. We were blessed to have six more years with her after that diagnosis. We did everything we could to care for her up until the very end. On Mother's Day at 5:28 in the morning, she passed away in our arms. We tried our best to comfort her and be by her side during the most difficult experience of all of our lives. We hope she will be with us always. She was our whole world and gave us so much over the years. We will never forget you, Lovie, and will love and miss you always.
