Pooh Bear
2025
Pooh was a special dog. He was given to us when a family member passed away and was immediately welcomed into the family. He loved the sunshine and car rides and being left alone. He was a cheerleader at soccer games, a sleeping buddy at night, a nurse when you were sick and a protector to his sister. When it came to thunder and fireworks best bet he was in the bathroom and in desperate need of protection. He was the most simple dog ever only needing to be fed, given love and rides on your center console. With being simple he was also the most spoiled dog I’ve ever met, only eating ONE brand of dog food and one specific flavor and getting so many baths only to walk out the car door to roll around in the dirt. He loved to take himself for a walk but when came to being walked he took 30 minutes to walk out the door. His favorite season was the summer because he was allowed to sit out on the deck with us all day and sit by the fire at night. To be clear when I say the that summer was his favorite, I mean the sun being out was his favorite, if his paws got wet he would make sure to let you know he was not happy huffing and puffing for the 30 seconds he was out there and angrily wiping the water off his feet before walking in the house. If you asked pooh, he would tell you he was being starved and that's why he was stealing his sister's food when in reality he was just bored and needed to do something. Treats were the key to his heart, and he would love you forever, but your fingers also became the treat which is why we call him a piranha. Dressing up in sunglasses, pajamas, coats and sweaters was his favorite pass time despite the side eyes we got at first. his arch nemesis was the vacuum, but he had no problem picking fights with the local german shepherd. He was terrified of squeaky toys, squirrels, leaves, shoes, sticks, anything that could fly, but he didn’t go down without a fight.
