Salty

2012 - 2024

Salty was a force to be reckoned with. He was the sweetest bean you'll ever meet to his mama, but fresh to everyone else. He was a spicy man with a heart of absolute gold. He loved his doggy - River - but also enjoyed letting her know who ran the house. He loved treats, cuddles and staring at you while he knocked things off of the table - especially if he thought you weren't feeding him in a timely manner. He cuddled his mama to sleep each night, and woke her up every morning with a gentle paw tap to the back to let her know it was time for breakfast. He moved across 3 states and multiple apartments and was what made each place feel like home. He was so much more than a furbaby, he was survival in the darkest of times for his human. From the humble beginnings of being found outside by a friend's dog, to accidentally jumping fully into a [clean] toilet as a 10-ish week old kitten, to knowing exactly when his human needed comfort, he lived an adventurous and love-filled life. He has been missed every single day since he crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
He was joined in 2026 by his doggy, River, and a ratty - Cheese - who he never got to meet but who was deeply loved by his human as well.
I love you, my sunshine. You kept me going when things felt impossible. You are the reason I am still here, and the reason Eevie and Hank have homes now. I learned everything about being a mama from you, and I will never ever forget everything you gave to me in this life.
